Tap Play, pick who’s playing (Family, Couples or Friends), choose Mild or Masala and, if you like, some topic decks. Then tap Deal the cards. Read the card out loud and let everyone answer or pick a side. Swipe either way or tap for the next card; Back brings the last one back. When the deck is done, tap Shuffle again.

Would You Rather cards give two options and everyone picks a side. Ask Me cards are a single question for whoever’s turn it is.

Mild cards are sweet and suitable for everyone. Masala cards are cheekier, for couples and friends, but still clean. The two are completely separate decks, so you’ll never get a Masala card in a Mild game. Family games are always Mild.

DesiCards works on iPhone and iPad, in English. All 389 cards are built in, so it plays offline.

Tap the heart on any card to add it to Favorites. Long-press the heart to add it to another deck or create a new one. Open My Decks on the home screen to play, rename or delete your decks.

DesiCards remembers which cards you’ve seen, on your device only. With New cards first on (it’s on by default; change it in Settings), cards you haven’t played yet are dealt before ones you’ve seen. Start fresh makes the app forget which cards you’ve played, so every card counts as new again. Tap it twice to confirm, and use Undo if you change your mind. Removed cards stay removed.

Choosing Not for us from the ••• menu removes a card from future games. Tap Undo right away, or go to Settings > Removed cards and tap Restore (or Restore all).

Tap Share on the game screen to send the card as an image to any app.

Open Suggest a card from Settings or the game’s ••• menu. Choose the type, write it, pick the groups, spice level and any topics, and add your name if you’d like credit. On the last step the app opens an email to easymote101@gmail.com; just tap Send in your mail app. If no mail app is set up, the card is copied so you can paste it into any email.
